Either way, I don't think it is going to matter. I'm only suggesting them in their usefulness when the characters are alone. In the end, it really doesn't matter as long as we have all of them and the sorcs have holy freeze.

yeah we need 2 sorcs, 3 paladins would be too much gear dependent.

we need wind druid as well for oak.
2 sorc, 2 pally, 1 druid 1 necro 1 barb 1 zon is perfect

I'm OK with this. Would rather have 3 paladins. But this would work fine. But since there are 3 elements, will conviction be used? And who would be putting in the points? And then what about Salv?

Conviction is pointless. We'll melt everything in Normal and after that it's teleport past everything.

Still need to iron out character classes. Who's going top play the fire sorc?

Ok so Pressure moves back to Party 1 and Strife goes to Party 2?
Whoever is good at playing a sorc. It doesn't matter who plays it really. Just know that in the event that Sully dies. Everyone is counting on you to teleport. A heavy burden, I know.

And if things get hairy, I'll leap to the destination.

Strife really wants to be in alpha party. As for characters:

set in stone
Sully - csullivan - cold/tele sorc
Acx - acxel - hammerdin/concentration
MaximusDM - maximusdm - leap/bo barb

can be changed to suit party
insomniac - indo - javazon
Mainer (dizzlethebbqer) - Mainer[GoGo] - summoner necro
alejandro1p (maximusdm's friend)- fobaby - ?
Gheki (bobdoleporn)- gheki_man - druid?
Strife - xstrifex - hammerdin

Ideally, we'd get a nec (minions), a druid (oak sage), another sorc, and another hammerdin from the "subject to change" five players, with the fifth being pretty much gravy. If Gheki is down with wind druid (are you? do you know how to play/build one?) and Mainer's running the necro (you know what to do with Nec, I assume?), then we'd just want someone else to be willing to run as a sorc. If nobody else does, we'll likely be fine with pal/pal/zon, but if I get fucked/fall asleep/my power goes out, you guys are going to be slowed tremendously.

alejandro1p wants a character that can do meph runs but he is too much of a pussy to teleport. And I don't blame him. Teleporting is a bitch of a job. And it is scary shit.

That is why he settled on the hammerdin. Gheki was nice enough to trade his druid for it. Because for the most part. No one is going to play after the first week or so. I'll level up my character a bit like last time. But in the end, all I'm doing is leeching anyway. He plans on trying is luck and busting the Meph pinata a few dozen times and seeing what gets and go from there how much more time he will invest in it, I guess.

The only type of sorc I make is melee sorc. I probably haven't made a cookie cutter sorc build since softcore. Did I mention teleporting is scary shit?

I already said I'd play the fire sorc.
I can be the second sorc and we can go 2 hammers + 2 sorcs. I guess I'll be fire since lightning and cold are taken care of.

OK, if alejandro is a hammerdin, strife is fire sorc, and gheki is wind druid (do you knwow hat the hell to do with him?), then we're set.

I'll be on late tonight (midnight EST or later) to test out ventrilo etc. Make sure you've got everyone on friends list, make sure your hotkeys are reassigned, make sure your vid options are set (i go lowest quality on everything), etc.

If gheki isnt comfortable being the wind druid, I have played ALOT of wind druids and actually played one in one of the ladder resets.

Making a Wind Druid:

Save all skill points until level 6.
At level 6, put 1 into Arctic Blast. 1 into Oak Sage.
Level 7-11 put 1 into Oak Sage.
At level 12 put 1 into Oak Sage, 1 into Cyclone Armor. Do this each level up until all your extra skill points are gone.
Finish maxing Oak. You should be around level 25 by now.
Put 1 into Twister, 1 into Tornado.
Put into Cyclone Armor until 30 and put 1 into Hurricane.
From here, systematically start maxing out Cyclone Armor, Twister, Tornado, and Hurricane.

My suggestion is leave twister for last because leveling up doesn't add to its stun length which is the main point of it. I'd say max out Cyclone Armor to add to Hurricane's length so you can put it on and not worry about it as much. Then max tornado. Then Hurricane. Then twister. For soloing people put 1 point into Raven, Wolf, Dire Wolf, and Bear. And then use the Bear as a Valk. But it won't be necessary unless you plan on continuing playing and plan on soloing.

You will be behind in damage. Because under normal circumstances you would be putting points here and there for Oak and your skills. But for the party, you will max out Oak first.

You probably won't be doing decent damage until around level 60 or so.

And you probably won't want to use your skills anyway unless we get Meditation early like last time. We really need to get Meditation.

I guess I got the fire sorc then. I just went to target and bought a headset for a whopping $15 (!). I recommend everyone in group 1 go buy a headset, because vent is the shit.

Wow, that is hardcore. You went out and bought a headset. o_o
That is dedication. Last time we had vent set up. But for the most part everyone had their eye on the prize so there wasn't too much talking besides the occasional: TP TP OMG! That was pretty early on. Midway no one really used it anymore.

Tested my vent, all seems good on my part. I just need to test if my people can hear me and make sure that the sound is coming out of my speakers. No one was on for me to test that out.

Are we doing the den? If I remember, we just ran the whole thing last time. Hahah. And then we went and did the Den later on.

I think we need to hit the Den first, then get Cold Plains WP, then go back to town for skill point, then onward to underground passage. Then right to dark wood/marsh/tamoe/outer cloister/barracks/jail/inner/cathedral/cats. In act 2, split up for radament and maggot lair. By then I should have teleport so I can let you guys work through maggot lair and head towards snake valley myself.

Ill update OP soon with finalized team.

my vent is set up and working.
my pc is set up and working.
I think we should hit blood raven after the den of evil for the free archers.
8 archers is the shit. so that would be : den of evil - someone makes a tp at den entrance,. finish den, switch back to blood moor real quick, hit blood raven, and then go to town for archer and the skill point.

makes sense?

You've got to be killing in the early going to gain levels, though, so nobody can really afford to Solely go WP hunting. My char SUCKS until I can start weakening stuff with Static Field (6+). She gets slightly better with Glacial Spike but she doesn't start to won until Orb, at which point she owns the rest of Normal and NM. In Hell, she's just teleport/static-to-half bitch.

I think we should just skip the den. We would finish it much faster once we level up and get all of our skills. I don't think 1 skill point will really turn the tides as much as time wise.

I say we do it after normal baal. While we are doing a normal baal run, we can all just go do it while Sully teleports. Because for the most part we'll be sitting in town anyway. Lets not detract time from the actual running to finish the acts. I think we should do the den in NM, because by then Sully will have teleport anyway and will teleport the act like last time and we can do the den then.

But you level to like 4/5 in the Den, which is EASIER than the cold plains/stony field. Which would be smarter to run through?

At least some of the group could do the den while others go to blood raven?
